Running For REACH

Since 2017, PGA of America Members from across the country have taken on the race of a lifetime in the TCS New York City Marathon by running to raise support and awareness for the PGA of America REACH Foundation.

The TCS New York City Marathon is one of the world’s most popular marathons – boasting more than 50,000 finishers every November. The 26.2-mile course touches all five boroughs of New York City – Staten Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and The Bronx – creating an unmatched experience.

On November 2, PGA HOPE Ambassador Brian Douty will join fifteen PGA of America Golf Professionals when he takes on the New York City Marathon. As the first PGA HOPE Ambassador to Run For REACH, Brian says he’s running for fellow Veterans and Active Duty Service Members to share the message that PGA HOPE is for them.
For two of our runners, Nick Madden from San Antonio and Scott Yurgalevicz from Philadelphia, their journeys have been ongoing. We caught up with the two PGA of America Members to hear about what this whole experience has meant to them.
More information will be released about the 2026 REACH Running Team in early 2026. If you are a PGA of America Member interested in running in support of the PGA of America REACH Foundation in the future, contact our team to be added to our communications list.
