The PGA REACH Colorado Foundation is a 501(c) nonprofit organization and philanthropic arm of the Colorado PGA Section. Our members across Colorado are committed to serving our communities and growing the game of golf through our three pillars- Youth Development, Supporting Our Military and Diversity & Inclusion.
Golf In Schools – Colorado PGA Golf In Schools is an introductory program offered at absolutely no cost to the student or to the school. The program, in partnership with the Colorado Open Golf Foundation, has been bringing golf to schools for the past six years. Drive, Chip and Putt – This free nationwide junior golf development competition is aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf. By tapping the creative and competitive spirit of girls and boys ages 7-15, Drive, Chip, and Putt provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel.
PGA Jr. League is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls, ages 13 and under, to enjoy the game of golf. Like other recreational youth sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with friends. The program is designed to better socialize the game for young players. Our Colorado PGA Professionals captained more than 160 teams with over 2,300 participants.
The Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado was established in 2015 by the Colorado Section of the PGA and the Colorado Golf Association. The JGAC serves as a vehicle for collaboration in the arena of junior golf in the State of Colorado for parents, kids, coaches and PGA Professionals by streamlining the junior golf process, filling in the voids, further building the junior golf ranks and creating new excitement with four major championships.
Youth on Course – Youth on Course was started in 2006 by the Northern California Golf Association as a way to increase the accessibility and affordability of golf for youth. Within five years, the program was thriving and opportunities expanded to include affordable golf, caddie programs, paid internships and college scholarships. The Colorado Section instituted the program in the 2018 Season. There were fifteen facilities participating in the program, hosting 667 rounds of golf for young golfers. Read Less
PGA HOPE – PGA HOPE Colorado (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is an adaptive golf program offered by our PGA Professionals as a rehabilitation tool to improve our veterans' quality of life by enhancing their mental, social, physical and emotional well-being. Read More
The lifetime game of golf has proven to be an excellent outlet for activity and competition, while allowing military personnel to assimilate back into their community through the social interaction the game provides. There is NO COST to our veterans. With the support of our PGA Professionals, we serve our veterans at five locations in Colorado, reaching 130 members of our Armed Forces.
Donating a Mortgage Free Home –Colorado PGA REACH has partnered with the Military Warriors Support Foundation’s Homes 4 Wounded Heroes Program to change the life of worthy veterans. Colorado PGA REACH has donated five mortgage-free, move-in ready homes to deserving wounded heroes injured during combat in service to our country. Read Less

The Colorado PGA REACH Foundation is committed to the development, advancement and empowerment of women. The Summit is an investment in current and future women leaders by providing content, tools, mentoring and networking opportunities to support their career advancement.
Scholarships – Scholarships are awarded to Colorado PGA Professionals and their family members. Applicants must show evidence of a high level of academic achievement by posting a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.4.
Growth of the Game Grants – Each year Colorado PGA REACH awards Growth of the Game Grants to local PGA Members and golf facilities that offer programming that strives to make golf inclusive of people from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds and for individuals with disabilities.
U.S. Olympic Committee FLAME Program – The U.S. Olympic Committee's FLAME (Finding Leaders Among Minorities Everywhere) Program provides high school, college and graduate-level students an intensive look into the corporate world of elite sport. The eight-day program offers an exciting and rigorous curriculum designed to increase knowledge of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic movements. Since 2014, Colorado PGA REACH has partnered with the FLAME program to introduce golf as a career enhancement option to a dedicated group of diverse college-age students enrolled in the USOC’s sports leadership program.
